Cole Taubel

Cole Taubel is an associate attorney at Nix & Diesselhorst, where he works closely with the firm’s senior trial lawyers representing individuals and families across Oklahoma who have suffered catastrophic and permanent injuries due to medical negligence, birth injuries, and other serious acts of negligence. As a member of the firm’s litigation team, Cole is committed to providing thoughtful, detail-driven support on some of the most complex and emotionally challenging cases the firm handles.

Cole’s practice focuses on assisting with high-stakes injury litigation, including medical malpractice and hospital negligence, birth and neonatal injury cases, nursing home neglect and abuse, and severe personal injury and wrongful death claims. He plays a key role in case development and preparation, contributing to the firm’s reputation for meticulous work and client-first advocacy.

During law school, Cole gained extensive hands-on experience working on complex injury cases through internships and externships, including his time at Nix & Diesselhorst. His work involved drafting pleadings, discovery, motions, and mediation materials, as well as reviewing and summarizing medical records and expert materials. He also participated in depositions, hearings, client meetings, and mediations, giving him early exposure to every stage of serious injury litigation.

Cole is drawn to personal injury law by a strong belief that individuals who sustain permanent, life-altering injuries due to the negligence of others deserve powerful and prepared advocates. His experience as an intern at Nix & Diesselhorst confirmed his desire to build his career at a firm known for its careful preparation, professionalism, and deep sense of responsibility to the families it represents.

Cole earned his Juris Doctor from The University of Tulsa College of Law, graduating with highest honors and serving as an Articles Selection Editor for the Tulsa Law Review. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Advertising, with a minor in Philosophy, from the University of Oklahoma, graduating with distinction. Cole is licensed to practice law in the State of Oklahoma and is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association.
